This time I will review the usual English application, which is the grammarly. It falls in the category of applications that can be downloaded and used in androids, ios, windows, firefox, and etc. And the relevance of this application is strong connection between app’s purpose and student learning (learning objectives). Grammarly got a good feedback from the Google playstore and reviews from the website. In Google playstore itself the application received a 4.2 rating with a rating and a review of approximately 148.399 people. Applying those features is also very easy with many features that it has. Students may open and use them independently without having to be exemplified by a teacher. Most professional writers recommend this grammar checker because it is straightforward to use. After you have downloaded it, you will see how it displays and as a beginner you can be guided more especially when you are posting your first work. Also, it provides a free extension for the Firefox and Chrome web browsers. As such, it will be easier for you to use and correct all of your grammar mistakes.

The engagement of this application is student sees the app as “more schoolwork” and may not fully engage in the task. Because the features of this application will be more used when performing assignments primarily in English and writing. Then, find the Switch Input Methods options and check the box next to Grammarly. Click “Got it” and you’re all set. Now Grammarly will look out for you when you’re writing on the go. Once you have Grammarly, the keyboard will automatically detect errors and suggest improvements no matter where you’re typing. Common typos and obvious errors (like typing “eror’” instead of “error,” for example) will get corrected automatically. Most grammar issues appear as suggestions—e.g., changing the verb tense, using a different proposition, or using the correct pronoun. Grammarly’s mobile proofreading doesn’t cover as many language issues as the desktop version or the browser extension, but it’s still one of the most comprehensive mobile grammar checkers I’ve tested. Plus, it’s free, so there is no reason not to try it out.

For what the grammarly impact for ELT is the facilitating the English learning process especially for students and teachers who in last year. Teachers do not bother checking the plagiarism of the students, as do students who can identify the plagiarism rate before the task is given to teachers. Grammarly also have many advantages for example it is free ( unless you want a premium version ), easy to use, improve our vocabulary, provides you with a lot of options. On the other hand, the grammarly also has a weakness, the limitation to some things like document limitation, device limitation, page limitation, and upload limitaion.

And the last one is about what language ability the grammarly can take, I think the skill to take from this application is more the writing skill and actually more effective if used to write. Because some features of this application are useful for authorship.
